How to read the evidence.
Company records can sharpen a decision, but they cannot prove customer demand. We keep each source, sample size, and limitation visible so you can use the figures honestly.
Two different views
- Company register: matching companies, recent formations, missing first accounts, strike-off, and liquidation status.
- Filed accounts: reported cash, creditors, fixed assets, and employees. Each figure uses only companies that reported that item.
What the figures do not mean
We show the number of records behind every figure and keep small samples visible. We do not invent sales, demand, startup costs, or multi-year survival rates.
Place means the registered-office postcode mapped to a named city or the UK. A registered office can be a mailbox and is not necessarily where the business trades.
